Only 25 minutes from downtown Chicago in the heart of Cook County’s Forest Preserve District, Fitzjoy Farm is conveniently located in Palos Park, Illinois. Fitzjoy offers more than nine acres of equestrian facilities including a 48,000-square-foot complex with 125 horse stalls, a 60’ x 300’ indoor all-weather riding arena, a 125’ x 250’ outdoor riding arena, a regulation-size dressage arena and direct access right out the front door to more than 70 miles of beautiful Forest Preserve trails. You can take riding lessons on your own horse or participate in an expertly conducted lesson program with horses available for everyone from beginner to expert.
Fitzjoy is also home to Fitzpatrick Quarter Horses, a well-known name in the Quarter Horse world, with Kathy Fitzpatrick as trainer and instructor. Kathy is resident trainer to many of the farm’s horses as well as their owners. She also is available for consultation in horse sales, training lessons and competition. For the beginner or advanced rider, Kathy can create a training program designed to meet the rider’s need as well as the horse’s training requirements.
