Michele Bulow
Michele began horseback riding at the age of 9. She showed a natural talent and after a short time was given "project" horses that were green or had behavioral problems by her instructors to ride and get ready for the lesson program. At 12 with the help of her mom, Michele purchased the first horse, one of her many "projects", an American Quarter Horse named Elvis.
Michele began working at the stable as an Assistant to the Instructor to help pay for Elvis and was eventually given her own lessons to teach. Through high school and college Michele continued to assist with training green, unbroke horses and expand her knowledge. She also competed with Elvis in the AQHA show circuit, earning points in Showmanship and English Pleasure.
When she was 19 years old, Michele moved to Germany where she trained reining horses for competition. Upon her return to the U.S. Michele became the assistant coach for a Youth Show Team. Many of the horses and riders she coached were top competitors at American Quarter Horse Congress and went on to have very successful show careers.
Though she no longer competes, Michele still teaches and trains. Her bright personality has earned her a very loyal following of students. A lifetime member of the AQHA, Michele has experience teaching and training in Showmanship, English Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Show Jumping, Western Pleasure and Reining.
